Jesus started His ministry at the age of 30. During His time He fulfilled many prophecies made. He chose 12 disciples and traveled through Israel performing miracles, being amongst the people, speaking in great parables. He was perfect. He drew in great crowds and became very popular.

Jesus’s popularity grabbed the attention of the Pharisees. They did not like the attention that Jesus was receiving. Jesus always defeated them with His parables and truth. He proclaimed to the people that He was the Son of God. This was what brought about His crucifixion.

Because the Pharisees were so far from God, in there “holier than though” doctrine,  God was actually among them and they did not recognize Him. When He proclaimed Himself as the Son of God and fulfillment of prophecy, the Pharisees accused Him of blaspheme. This is what he was charged with before Pilate. Pilate is the Roman leader that approved the Jews charge to crucify Jesus.

During Jesus’s ministry He did not sin. He fasted for 40 days in the wilderness and was tempted by Satan 3 times. He resisted the devil and died perfect. This is the manifestation of the Law being abolished, but fulfilled. Jesus died perfect but took the punishment for our sin. He was the innocent lamb shed for us. God sacrificed His Son for us because we are all sinners and there was no way for us to be right with Him.

Through Jesus Christ death and resurrection, as long as we believe it and live our lives through it, we are saved from His judgment. We escape the second death which comes after God’s judgement of everyone.

He did not come here just because He had a message.  He was not just another prophet, like Moses or Mohammed.  He was the Son of God and fulfillment of prophecy.
